Can I join if I'm travelling alone?

Absolutely.In fact, most of our participants join the trip on their own, while the rest usually come with a friend or climbing partner. By the end of the week, those differences tend to disappear pretty quickly.Sharing a house, climbing together every day, cooking, and relaxing after climbing naturally creates a friendly and social atmosphere. It's one of the things our previous participants value the most.So if you're hesitating because you're coming solo, don't worry! You'll be in very good company. :)

Question 2

I've never climbed outdoors. Can I still join?

You don't need to be an experienced outdoor climber to join, but we do recommend having some climbing experience before signing up for a full week of climbing.We recommend that participants are comfortable climbing around 6a (French grade) in an indoor climbing gym without regularly falling or resting on the rope. This is roughly equivalent to 5.10a in the Yosemite Decimal System (YDS).While climbing outside is a different experience than climbing indoors, having this level of experience will allow you to get the most out of the retreat. Throughout the week, we'll help you improve your movement, technique and confidence on rock, always adapting the coaching to your level.If you're not sure whether this trip is right for you, feel free to get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Question 3

How do I get to Costa Blanca?

Accepted Answer

The easiest way is to fly into Alicante–Elche Airport (ALC), which is the main gateway to Costa Blanca and offers direct connections from many European cities.
We recommend arriving before the afternoon so everyone has plenty of time to settle in.

Once the group has arrived, we'll travel together from Alicante airport to the accommodation.

Do you offer airport transfer?

Accepted Answer

We offer one transfer from Alicante Airport to the accommodation on arrival day. To use this service, your flight must land before 5:00 pm.
On departure day, we also provide one transfer from the accommodation to Alicante Airport. To take advantage of this service, please book a flight departing after 12:00 pm.

If these transfer times don't work for your itinerary, you're welcome to travel independently or request a transfer at a different time or on a different day. Alternative transfers are subject to availability and an additional fee, and we're happy to arrange them with you after booking.

The journey between Alicante Airport and the accommodation takes approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Is this trip for me?

This week is designed for intermediate climbers—including indoor climbers ready to transition to real rock—who want to improve their technique, confidence, and mindset.To get the most out of the experience, you should feel comfortable climbing around French 5a (YDS 5.8) or above in the gym. Because the sectors offer lines from 5a to 8a and spots are limited to just 6 climbers, we can perfectly tailor the daily coaching and route selection to your individual goals and pace.

Is accommodation included?

Yes. Accommodation is included as part of the experience. You'll stay in shared rooms.However, for legal and administrative reasons, it is paid separately and directly to the accommodation owner. When you book your spot, you are only paying for the trip itself.Approximately 60 days before the trip starts, we'll send you all the accommodation details together with the payment instructions. The accommodation cost will be deducted from the trip price shown on the website, so the total amount you pay remains exactly the same.*Please note that accommodation in the house is in shared rooms.

Do I need my own equipment?

We'll provide all the shared climbing equipment needed throughout the week including ropes, quickdraws, belay devices and other group gear.We do ask you to bring your own personal equipment:Climbing shoesHarnessHelmetApproach shoes or comfortable trainers for short walks to the cragA light backpack for your daily gearA windproof or light waterproof jacketComfortable climbing clothesWater bottle and sunscreenIf you're missing any essential personal equipment, let us know before the retreat. We'll do our best to help you find a solution or arrange rental gear if available.

Do I need accident insurance?

The climbing week does not include accident insurance. Participants must have their own valid mountain activity insurance. (Make sure it covers rock climbing).

Question 9

How does the payment work and what exactly is included in the price?

Accepted Answer

The price shown on our website (14,500 NOK) is the total actual cost of your full-week experience (including all climbing days, coaching, airport transfers, and accommodation). You won't have to pay anything extra on top of this total.However, for regulatory and administrative reasons, the payment is transparently split into two parts:1. The booking and guiding services: Paid directly to TRAD Adventures when booking on this website.2. The accommodation and transfers: Paid separately and directly to the house provider roughly 60 days before the trip.Important! The exact cost of the accommodation is automatically deducted from the total price shown on the website, so the sum of both payments will be exactly the final price promised. We will send you an email with simple, step-by-step instructions so you don't have to worry about a thing!

What is the cancellation policy?

We have a strict cancellation policy. We recommend purchasing trip protection to protect your investment.

Our cancellation policy is designed to protect both our guides and the long-term sustainability of our business. Because of this, we are unable to make exceptions or alter these terms in any situation. We strongly recommend purchasing trip protection so you can safeguard your investment and book with complete peace of mind.

Participants can cancel at any time before the camp starts. The following fees apply:
20% for administration costs
40% if cancelled between 90 and 60 days before the camp
100% if cancelled 60 days or less before the start, or in case of no-show

Participants may transfer their spot to someone else.
